Curogram attended NatCon 2026, held April 27–29 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, to engage with behavioral health providers from across the country. The annual conference, hosted by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, drew more than 5,000 attendees from clinical, executive, and policy roles.

Conversations during the event surfaced three consistent themes: persistently high patient no-show rates, growing burnout among front desk and intake staff, and a clear demand for HIPAA compliant communication tools that fit behavioral health workflows. Curogram's takeaways from NatCon 2026 reinforce its focus on building patient communication software designed for the realities of modern outpatient practices.

DENVER, COLORADO - April 29, 2026 - Curogram, the patient communication platform built for outpatient medical practices, attended NatCon 2026 in Denver, where it met with hundreds of behavioral health providers, executives, and clinicians from across the country. Conversations on the conference floor confirmed a growing demand for HIPAA compliant, easy-to-use communication tools designed for the realities of behavioral health workflows.

NatCon 2026, held April 27–29 at the Colorado Convention Center, is the largest annual conference for behavioral health and mental wellbeing professionals. Hosted by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, this year's event drew more than 5,000 attendees, 500 speakers, and 200 exhibitors. Curogram joined as a technology partner to learn from providers, share insights, and demonstrate how its platform supports behavioral health practices of every size.
Three themes came up repeatedly in conversations with attendees:

High no-show rates remain a stubborn challenge, often exceeding 30% in behavioral health settings.
Front desk and intake staff are stretched thin, with many practices reporting burnout-driven turnover.
Providers want secure messaging tools that protect patient privacy without slowing day-to-day operations.

These observations echoed what Curogram hears from its own customers. They also reinforced the company's focus on building tools that solve real workflow problems for clinical and administrative teams.

"NatCon is one of the few places where you can sit down with leaders from across behavioral health — from small private practices to large multi-state organizations — in a single week," said Michael Hsu, CEO of Curogram. "What we heard from them this year was consistent: their teams are doing more with less, patients are harder to keep engaged between visits, and the tools meant to help often add to the burden. Those are the problems we built Curogram to solve."

Curogram connected with NexGen Healthcare at NatCon to discuss the critical need for HIPAA-compliant 2-way texting for Behavioral Health clinics.

Curogram's platform supports behavioral health practices with HIPAA compliant 2-way SMS, automated appointment reminders, patient recalls, telemedicine, and online intake forms — all within a single workflow. Based on internal data, practices using Curogram have seen no-show rates 53% lower than the industry average and reduced inbound phone call volume by 50%. That gives front desk staff more time to focus on higher-value patient interactions.

Curogram plans to continue engaging the behavioral health community through future events, content, and product development focused on the unique needs of this growing sector.

Curogram CEO Michael Hsu connected with serial entrepreneur and CEO of Notenetic, Trinity Manning, on how to bring 2-way texting to clinics and patients.
